Horse Once Sold For Slaughter Walks In Inaugural Parade

People might find it hard to believe but this is a “rags-to-riches” story as the police themselves called it. Jakar, a gelding, was once sold for slaughter because he was considered to be unnecessary for the owner. But miracles do happen!

He was purchased and donated to the Cleveland Police Department and marched on one of the world’s biggest stages. The horse touched all the hearts of those present in the parade. It’s very hard to imagine a horse who was bound for slaughter, stand up like that and march with the Cleveland Police Mounted Unit and keep his head high. All the horses in the parade, Jakar as well, are worth their weight in gold. So, before you think that a horse might not be of service to you and make a move, just think of Jakar. Give them love and affection and they will stand up for you, anytime.
